This standard applies to non U.S. investors (i.e. limited partners) as well as funds (i.e. general partners ).

The new International core concept for measuring the fair value of alternative investments is " the amount for which as asset could be exchanged between knowledgeable, willing parties in an arm's length transaction" ( Source: International Financial Accounting Standards)
